Great article David. The commentators had this type of discussion in another article. Many of us wondered how maintaining something after it is built isn’t more worried about with Engineers.

Just make sure you pull the valve cover and torque down the head. Mk3 Supras are well known for eating head gaskets all day.

It may be 3600 lbs, but my actual experience owning one says they handle lighter than they are.

I believe it, seeing the way some vehicles are packaged. My dad and I always joke that there is some engineer with small hands laughing picturing a large guy try and pull a water pump from a hyundia or other FWD with the pump .3 inches from the fender.

I actually wonder how engineers decide to place things in vehicles all the time. Particularly around the engine bay.
