I agree with the need for safety inspections as long as they are consistent. Missouri has safety inspections and I see plenty of cars on the road here that I question how they passed.

We could have used something like that in Missouri for Amendment 3. In 2018 voters approved a redistricting process that is more fair and fight gerrymandering. The Republican legislature didn’t like it, so in comes Amendment 3. It was worded so terribly that a judge had to intervene to change some of the wording. I’m

Used to see a lot of that. Assuming they were also used here, the 4" x 10" speakers GM was notorious for using on the rear deck in that era were terrible and aftermarket replacements weren’t much better.

I’d love to have my 2011 Golf TDI 6MT back. While it wasn’t exactly fast, I don’t know too many cars out there that are that fun to drive and get 40-50 mpg on the highway. It just made more financial sense to do the Dieselgate buyback since it had about 115,000 mi on it at the time.

My neighbor across the street got a Braun conversion Ford Explorer a couple years ago. Ramp comes down from the passenger side rear door.

Neutral: Driving across Kansas gets a bad rap. The Flint Hills are beautiful, and you’ll find that eastern Colorado will make western Kansas seem populated.

True, those are still options. There won’t be any affordable hybrids or BEV’s from any of them though except maybe the Bolt. The Corolla and Camry hybrids are built in the US, but that never seems to count in the eyes of policymakers. I think the Insight is built in the US as well. Honda usually shies away from fleet

I got confused for a second there, “wait, wasn’t the Topaz a Mercury?” I didn’t realize the Ford Tempo was a Topaz in other markets. Sad cars though either way.

The death of American cars like this also screws government fleet operations. A lot of state and local governments have “buy American” policies that were adopted during the last recession and also tend to buy whatever basic sedans that are offered. It will be especially tough for governments that also have green

Is this name change going to go over as well as when HopCat changed the name of their fries from Crack Fries to Cosmik Fries?

And allegedly the beef is square to show that they don’t cut corners, that’s what Dave always said. Really, its just more convenient to package.

I worked at Wendy’s from about 1994 (I was 14) to maybe 2002, you know, back when the SuperBar was still a thing. There were some interesting training videos for sure. Most had some sort of song to help you remember things. I wish someone would have put them on YouTube because they are absolutely hilarious.

I agree! I have a ‘17 Alltrack S and the seats are TERRIBLE, especially for longer trips. I’ve also had the driver’s side seat bottom cover replaced twice under warranty for cracking.

I never had too much trouble finding a pump when I had my MK6 Golf TDI. Correctly sized Diesel nozzles were pretty prevalent here in small peen BroDozer country (Missouri). I did run into issues here and there while traveling, but it was never dire. Just the usual “you know that’s Diesel, right?” over the speaker from

You will want to check the history of the SE and SEL models. Some have been bought back by VW because they weren’t able to address the pano roof leak.

Well, the word “car” is in NASCAR, soooo.....

I’m not sure how many other states do this, but Missouri allows you to take the same credit you would get from trade-in at a dealer if you sell it on your own. Dept. of Revenue has a form that has to be signed by both seller and buyer that confirms the sale price. Same goes if an insurance company totals out your car.

One of (maybe the only?) the Mitsubishi dealerships in St. Louis has changed hands at least three times in the last couple years. It’s now owned by the same dealership group that runs the annoying AF “It’s a crime to pay more than a dime” radio commercials if that says anything.

When I was at the Hampton Village Schnucks on Monday, they had the salad bar filled with cans of local beer and a few other local products. I thought that was also pretty genius.

Too bad it can’t be installed Knight Rider style.
