Yes but the only way that will happen is that if Google closes down Android and have stricter hardware requirements (ie WP7) which is the total opposite of what Android is meant to be in the first place.
Well, to be technical it's not all the same as Android. For WP7 Microsoft has total control of the updates while for Android it's all dependant on the Manufacturer

Not really, even though the Galaxy Nexus is pentile, it still has a higher resolution and dpi than the SII. I own a Galaxy Nexus and I can assure that the display is definitely better than the SII.
