I’ll never understand scientology’s place in society or its purpose.  As a logical human being, it makes zero sense.

Scientology (supposedly) isn’t a legal authority so how can it’s ‘arbitration’ have any sort of legal standing? If you want to leave... just... leave...?

When one party to an arbitration agreement can instruct potential arbitrators to be unavailable and then attack the other party for only nominating unavailable arbitrators, something is very wrong.

I think our system is overdue for a reckoning on arbitration agreements. Yes, they can save a lot on litigation costs, and individuals should generally be free to contract as they see fit. But this is just unconscionable, and it's not the only example.

I understand that some people believe Scientology is a religion and therefore protected by the First Amendment’s two provisions concerning religion and it components: the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause. But why can’t Congress investigate this? This is peoples lives, many people and Congress cares

Joe Biden is obviously suffering from the effects of old age

Christ...as much as we all suffered during the Orange POS’s administration, did ANYONE suffer more than Fauci? Poor guy just did his job and worked his ass off for us under the most loathsome boss imaginable and now half the US acts like he’s Josef Mengele. I feel like the US should gift Fauci with his own private

Do we honestly think this is the first Senator to suffer depression? No, he’s just the first one to admit it and openly seek treatment, instead of trying to bury it with multiple mistresses and a coke habit like certain past Senators I could name. Everyone knew Fetterman had had a stroke; anyone who wanted to research

If I had to work with the assholes he has to work with I'd be depressed too.

It was “was inspired by a month on a ranch” but he didn’t fly in those exact horses. These are silky, gorgeous show horses.

I was coming here to make sure someone said this!! The poop bags are so standard that I worry about what ranch these horses came from and if the owner knows how to do anything more complicated than kiddie trail rides.

some poor planning that’s for sure, instead of being at the same level as the runway they should have made an indent a foot down and filled it with dirt, that way droppings would be out of sight and if they were visible they would mesh with the color of the soil rather than stand out on white and orange tiles.

regardles

What’s especially funny is that you can put a special bag on the horse’s rear end to catch the poop! It’s done all the time for carriage rides, etc. Can’t believe nobody thought of that!

“The abusive and intrusive stalking behavior was encouraged in the public, by the Kardashians themselves”

Fuck your hot take, asshole.

“This situation is being treated as celebrity spectacle or like your typical Kardashian drama, but the behaviors are really familiar to us because of how much it mirrors real-life examples that we deal with in our law practice all of the time,”

It’s just a shame nobody could see this coming from, like, a thousand fucking miles away. There was simply no indication from Kanye over the last, oh, decade or so, that this could happen. Nobody around him could have done anything about this. Just sad.

I was just going to say, I saw a Facebook meme which basically said (I’m paraphrasing): Once there was a man who abused his wife, broke up with her, stalked her, and eventually killed her. Decades later, his lawyer’s daughter married Kanye West.

I’m much too late for anyone to see this. But I’m posting because this literally happened to me LAST NIGHT: 10-10-21.

This isn’t my own story, but my dad’s - and my dad isn’t a liar. He’s experienced a lot of wild things taking odd jobs out on the road throughout his twenties, but this story happened right in my Indiana hometown when my mom was pregnant with my older sister. We lived in the country, and there was a hairpin turn on
