I just started doing some research on console failure rates and in comparison to the best value hardware components I research when buying a PC, its staggeringly higher.

For critics of GTA, now is a good time to discuss whether GTA's designers should be saying no to some of the things they make interactive or should simply say yes to more. I'd vote for the latter. Perhaps Grand Theft Auto V itself will prove to be a laboratory for that as it expands next month into the ever-expanding…
I'm going to play the devil's advocate and ask you this:
You haven't gotten the full Battlefield experience until you play with kb&mouse for infantry, then use a flightstick for the planes.
Even though I'm a PC gamer, I hope they can push this game to 1080p (not upscaled) on Xbone/PS4 during the beta (it's already 60fps and 64players). The more consoles can push the envelope the higher PC games will go in response.
Now I'll address where you are correct in saying how a touch screen is "future-thinking". If we assume that in the future the majority of the population is interested in games that are easy to learn and pick up immediately (with a low skill cap by this definition), then a touch screen is perfect for this audience. …
You're right, a touch screen provides stupidly simple inputs that anyone can understand immediately. However it's skill cap and thus fun range of inputs is EXTREMELY limited. Now you seem to have a vested interest so I won't be too harsh. It serves an audience that wants to do basic functions (or advanced functions…
If the goal is truly to improve touch controls, then I'd suggest completely removing touch screens in favour of a miniaturized Kinect-like device. The touch screens in their current forms essentially boil down to being able to swipe/manipulate with a maximum of two fingers at once. Ie: two thumbs, or usually one…
That's actually a design flaw in a competitive game if the games are never close. A proper matchmaking system (ie ELO) with a large enough user base, will ensure close games. For example games like DOTA 2, SC2 and LoL incorporate such a system.
Stupid analog stick turn speeds & sticky aim for consoles. I remember why the last console FPS I enjoyed was Goldeneye (before I learned of the mouse on PC).
Not that I don't disagree on this game's chances of going pro, I just think it's for different reasons. DOTA is dominated by teen-30 year olds that also rage, insult and call people noobs every game, however I think the difference is in the simplicity of COD. The environments are simple, the gameplay simple. …
I have my doubts like you. The issues such as the console version "requiring" aim-assist and being the biggest version will make the chances of this game going pro minimal.
Based on the mobility I've seen in this game, it reminds me of the frenetic gameplay speed and mobility of Quake or Duke Nukem 3D. The mechanics of mobility are completely different, but it could serve that audience. It's like a slicker, closed environment version of Tribes 2.
It seems to me that this image doctoring, bullshots, hidden PCs for "Console" versions needs to stop. It should be illegal to do so. We can argue that nobody knows what the final product will be but that's just an excuse. PC versions don't do this as they have the best hardware and thus have no need.
It has replacement lenses that come with it of varying strengths. The default is for somebody with 20/20 vision is my understanding. So no need to wear glasses, it does it for you.
He-Man's manjunk doesn't need the warmth of fur, he's the most powerful man in the universe!
Only F2P game I know of that has ZERO gameplay altering things you can buy (ie cosmetic upgrades ONLY) is Dota 2. Where one thinks it's good or not is subjective.
I'm pretty sure that's James "2GD" Harding.
You completely ignored the entire premise of what I just said. Of course they will be discussed more due to the reality that they are more prevalent. But the sad truth is that among Feminists they are discussed disproportionately much more than reality, and thus exaggerated, while minimizing the impact of issues…
Playing video games from a young age (especially flight sims and Tie Fighter) made me a good pilot when I took flying lessons. There are numerous applications of learning from video games. As Reggie said, moderation in everything is key.
