Yeah, Eskimo isn’t one of those terms that is inherently offensive (it most likely comes from the Algonquin: Ayas̆kimew and means something like, “A person who laces a snow shoe”) but it has fallen out of favor over time. Nice to add the little earthquake as foreshadowing, after the one in the book felt pretty out of nowhere (I don’t consider this a spoiler, because anyone who’s surprised they didn’t just throw in an earthquake scene for zero plot reason probably isn’t watching this show anyway).

Funny thing about railroad tracks - that’s where the TRAINS are. Train tracks are these really obvious things with long metal rails and concrete or wood things connecting them, surrounded by crushed rock. You really can’t miss them.

I looked up this actor’s age and they don’t want to disclose it. They’re said to be 30-ish. That tracks. I waited tables and hauled drinks in a lot of clubs in between college teaching gigs. I didn’t gaf if my students knew.
