Remember when this site would have reviewed the show?

The problem is... the show is good and has been for years. It’s probably even great now and has taken some of the most insightful political opinions I’ve seen a mainstream show take — and I’m left anarchist so I have really strong opinions about political opinions.

The best critique of South Park and one that’s come the closest to explaining why it rubs me the wrong way is that they always take the side of “not caring”. The end result is always that caring about anything is dumb and “both sides” are bad if either of them actually care.

Funny how everyone loses their sense of humor when it’s them that get made fun of.

I was there for Christine Baranski, but Alicia was an excellent addition.

Too many people take The Simpsons for granted. It is the greatest American television show, if not the world’s greatest. We will miss it when it’s gone.

Pussy Facing the World feels like either a great band name or the best title for a best selling memoir.

The man single handedly created not one, but two, genres--detective stories and horror.  Well, maybe not single handedly on horror but he did set the template for detective stories.  

I watched practically every episode of Cybill for Alicia Witt. ❤️❤️❤️

Oh wait, I thought American culture was vapid, shallow and all about action movies. You can take yer Baudelaires and foutez-moi le camp.

Yea where is that?  Even Lisa’s Rival and the Tell-Tale Heart reference deserves a mention.

The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror with James Earl Jones doing The Raven is the best Poe adaptation of all time. 

Last week tonight had a gag where he replaced it with Frank Sinatra, Mario Batali and Al Pacino.  Honestly even Amerigo Vespucci is a less terrible choice for Italian Pride day.

It was basically Italian pride day to say sorry for innocent people being killed by racists.  Its truly an American Holiday. 

History is so fucking messy, it’s great. Great in its awfulness.
