Very true, I should have specific that my comment is meant to refer to plastics.

Perfect description is perfect.

It’s the only show that I wish I could slow-forward through

Glass and aluminium are very recyleable.

yeah agreed. whoever is doing the voice now needs to go out in a field and scream for a few hours a few days in a row and then do the voice acting

That’s a great description, the old voices were a little rougher.  But the new ones are really close.

“recycling **plastic** is almost worthless the better off we’ll be”

Sounds like another enjoyer of Adam Ruins Everything.

Everyone just seems to hate the more important steps 1 & 2 of reduce, reuse, recycle.

The voices are missing that 3-packs-a-day smoking habit phlegmy quaver that they used to have.

For me that’s where they might be missing the mark. Reducing CO2 emissions is great and all, but recycling the one-time-use plastic of a soda bottle into a more durable Lego instead of going to the landfill seems the larger upside to me.

The 3-arrow symbol was devised by the plastics industry to trick people into thinking plastics were recyclable and thus OK to use, and to divert the blame for plastics waste from the producers and sellers to individuals.

Don’t get me wrong, I recycle everything I can, but the sooner everyone realizes that recycling is almost worthless the better off we’ll be.

I think crazily enough they actually used their heads and realized recycling plastic is worse for the environment. Something that has been true for a long time but never acknowledged

My dear, darling prolapsed bottom of a fading Millennial - you might consider MacFarlane annoying but for the rest of us he’s doing a damned lot more than in this world than you ever would.  Now, shut up and make my burger.

He doesn’t annoy me, I didn’t know this was a thing.

We can decide for ourselves who’s annoying.

Or the Netflix Marvel shows 🤷‍♀️. Truly impressive. Lower Decks is something special.

This is a thing I love about Lower Decks. Your typical hour-long has an A story, B story, C story, and maybe a runner bouncing along through the plot. I’m amazed that Lower Decks has managed to cram an A, B, and C story into every single half-hour episode. They are functionally (but not technically) writing a

It’s a very good point. And they do! I honestly don’t know if I’d have noticed but they do take their time on SNW, though nothing like the original. I tried to re watch a few TOD episodes recently and boy have directorial standards and actor choices changed since the 60's.
