Seconded.  A short story or a novella can be made to work as a film, but most really meaty novels - to say nothing of novel series - need at least a limited series to not end up cutting way too much.

Yes!  I like this version better than Paramore’s, simply because I think it plays more with the song itself.

The cover by The Cardigans and Tom Jones added much more to the song, IMO.  It’s very much of its time in 1999, but I think it holds up.
