Precisely. We will be doing one last round of ICE cars in my family; a Lexus GX (or new Toyota Land Cruiser when it comes out), and a Corolla GR or MX-5 for me. We will revisit electric cars when newer battery chemistries arrive and we are close to the end of ICE car sales in CA.

Agreed 100%. Why would I purchase an electric car right now, when the tech is improving at a pretty fast clip? If I had a decent length commute, I’d consider leasing one, but neither my wife nor I have a regular commute anymore.

Then they should have boilerplate language that doesn’t foster conspiratorial thinking like “named the president” does.

I agree, but I have a problem with the line about Trump being “named” the president. I despise him, and it’s the Electoral College that caused this result, but Trump *was* elected by the laws of this country in 2016.

Not at all, just commenting on the fact that an article talking about Pixar losing its way fails to mention his absence.  I don’t think he should have kept his job, but his removal has consequences.

Yep, but he’s problematic, so it can’t *possibly* be that.

Yeah, if this premise was gender-swapped, this article would have been screaming about how gross it is.  Typical double standard.

She was born in 1988.  She’s right down the middle Millenial.

I thought the idea was that gay/lesbian/bisexual folks are just like everyone else, *except who they like to fuck.*

You only need one dimension to form a line, two dimensions to form a plane, and three dimensions to form a volume.  A point is formed by having only one set of coordinates, regardless of the number of dimensions included in the coordinates.  That may be what folks are thinking here.

I had to hear SO MANY TIMES how I shouldn’t get in line as early for the vaccine as possible because COVID disproportionately affected POCs. (and what doesn’t?) Take that white people problem shit, and shove it SO FAR up your ass that you disproportionately get fucked.

I’ve been on the receiving end of blowback for asking questions in an “inappropriate venue,” and I’m *in management.*  Some higher-ups just will not tolerate being questioned in front of others.  In some cases, they’re happy to talk with you 1:1 or in a small group and be honest and open when not put on the spot in

Countersigned! I love Hulu as a core service but I’d need continued new scripted material to keep it.

I think what matters here is what’s meant by “reprimand.” If it’s basically just pulling the person aside and letting them know that wasn’t the right venue for that question, I don’t have a problem with such a “reprimand.” But if it’s some formal “write up” with HR, nah, fuck that. Someone who reports to me would

It’s cute that you think this dried-up husk of a one-beloved site has a stylebook.

It can go the other way, too. There are definitely people who are perhaps not conventionally attractive, but I would definitely accept just about any proposition they made to me, if I was single. The first fabulous lady that comes to mind is Carrie Brownstein, though she’s actually pretty cute, but her talent moves

Now add in Christina Hendricks and Rachel Bloom to that whole situation, and I would prefer never to leave that room again.

Facebook is right out, but I do enjoy The Avocado.

She was excellent in Halt and Catch Fire, which is where I recognized her from.

With you 100%. I enjoyed the reviews of Picard on i09 this year. Even when I disagreed with the author, what they wrote was mostly well-reasoned, and the comments were plentiful.  Imagine how many more they likely would have gotten here.
