He’s such a tool, snarkily burying the lede that this law EXISTS because of shows like Transformers. I *clearly* recall Transformers toys being advertised at commercial breaks during the Transformers cartoon, and this isn’t the Mandela Effect because I saw some old VHS recordings of the show with the commercials…
I don’t recall any reporting on who called the police. If they were loudly fighting, a neighbor may have called.
Reposting here as it’s probably of more interest on an actual Archer article:
I would love to post a link to a Vulture article that shows the real people the character designs were modeled after, but of course Kinja can’t handle something as simple as a URL. Just google “see the real models for the Archer characters,” and it should turn up. A lot of the similarities to the voice actors was…
Live action Archer missed its chance by not happening while Jessica Walter was still alive. I think several of the characters would really be best served by being played by the VA, like Judy Greer and Aisha Tyler, so I think it’s more fun to do this with rules stating the VA *can’t* play them.
Considering this was a reality show that actually happened, this is not that strange a concept. I happen to know one of the winners (Bryan Heitkotter):

“HPPA”
Yes. According to my wife, who is first-generation American, and who speaks Spanish as a first language, it’s “Latino.” Are you going to tell her she’s wrong?

I promise it is neither insipid nor obnoxious, just a bit long. I even use paragraphs, capitalization, spelling, and grammar*…
It’s their pupils. They’re little roughly-drawn asterisk-like things. I felt put off by something ineffable about their eyes until I noticed this quite some time after pushing myself to watch.
This. A thousand times this. Thank you.
Patrick - would you mind taking me out of the greys for this site? I am out of the greys on some other G/O media sites, especially AV Club, and I think my comment warrants being seen. Thanks!
I’m cross posting this, after my nearly identical comment at a popular football website went down the moderation rabbit hole, which is interesting because the level of discourse in the comment section at that site is, frankly abhorrent.
Or a “frack pipe.” C’mon, it was right there!

But will “Emily Dickinson” by Clutch be the show’s theme song? Enquiring minds want to know!
Danger Island was great, at least.
