Real News? Are you seriously questioning why this girl’s testimony is important? Are you implying that an innocent 15 year old girl who was shot in her school on the way to class is less important than a middle-aged white guy(undeniably a hero) who was shot doing his job?

Given what he’s been accused of in the past I doubt he will see any repercussions for this. As much as you lovely law folks like to believe in the system it only “works” when poor people get accused. 99% of the time the Michael Cohen’s of the world get off scot-free. By all means come back and gloat if I’m wrong on

Oh man, I had completely forgotten about this song. Flashing back to college parties and dancing to a particular remix of this song...when that beat drops. Thanks for the reminder.

That’s because it was made for the movie, hence the Netflix connection.

I think Marty is wrong about the Garveys not losing anyone. Didn’t they lose their unborn child? Laurie was getting an ultrasound when the departure happened and the baby disappeared. That kind of kickstarted her existential crisis and led to her joining the guilty remnant if I remember correctly.

Same.

I can guarantee you that I could dress up like Frank Lloyd Wright and get in there. Or Pablo Picasso or name any male artist of the last 200 years. It’s only women that get denied. It isn’t persecution, It’s sexism.

Keep in mind this post is holding up Kim K as a role model of virtue and class. Welcome to Trump’s America. Reality TV=class. Liberals opening their mouths = trash.

Plenty of school shootings have happened with Glocks. *The more you know*

NBC replayed that the other day and they used the OBS feed audio instead of the awful NBC audio. Even they knew that was how you do it.

Two words. Ester Ledecka.

Gretchen Whitmer has been very outspoken about the Flint crisis. If she wins the election you can bet that will be one of her first priorities. She has made it one of the pillars of her campaign.

I was just watching the news and they aired his apology to the judge. He and his lawyer stood up and apologized to the courtroom and the bailiffs who had to restrain him. He sounded pretty sincere and the judge released him to his family without any charges.

Justin Amash will never lose in his district. I live in his district. He basically said that the free market should decide if child rape is wrong. His constituents love it. Even some die-hard liberal friends of mine think he’s wonderful. I don’t get it.

This is the most beautiful poem I have ever read. ::weeps tears of joy::

It started as weeping. Now I’m sobbing.

(i mean.. other than the holy shit my dad is dead thing... but i have no idea how you’d convey that in a show convincingly)

God I miss that show...

Yes, no question this was my favorite Jezebel post this year. I cried, and I’m a man. I’m so grateful for Madeleine’s perspective and I carry that with me in my interactions with others, both women and men. Most of the stuff I read on Jezebel, while great, is pop culture throwaway but this one will stick with me.

As a middle aged white man I refuse to let the bar be set that low. We’re trying to build a society and men need to own a part of that, which means giving women bodily authority. As men we own our actions, we own our mistakes as well as our achievements but we don’t own other people’s bodies.
