I was just watching the news and they aired his apology to the judge. He and his lawyer stood up and apologized to the courtroom and the bailiffs who had to restrain him. He sounded pretty sincere and the judge released him to his family without any charges.

Justin Amash will never lose in his district. I live in his district. He basically said that the free market should decide if child rape is wrong. His constituents love it. Even some die-hard liberal friends of mine think he’s wonderful. I don’t get it.

Yes, no question this was my favorite Jezebel post this year. I cried, and I’m a man. I’m so grateful for Madeleine’s perspective and I carry that with me in my interactions with others, both women and men. Most of the stuff I read on Jezebel, while great, is pop culture throwaway but this one will stick with me.

As a middle aged white man I refuse to let the bar be set that low. We’re trying to build a society and men need to own a part of that, which means giving women bodily authority. As men we own our actions, we own our mistakes as well as our achievements but we don’t own other people’s bodies.

GR has had plenty of protests this year. The only police involvement I can remember was a few arrests for blocking traffic. Amway country is in the suburbs to the east of the city. The city of GR has demographics similar to most eastern US cities.

I agree with you. It’s not terrible, it’s an amazing RPG. I enjoyed ME3 until the end as you say. But once you know how it ends it ruins any chance of an enjoyable replay. I literally can’t replay the games because it makes me depressed.
