Me, a PLEBE? But I wasn't the one disparaging banana ketchup!

Now, now, be nice.

Actually, I think it was a millennial who started the whole thing, wasn't it? Some 30-something tech executive in Australia or something, condemning his fellow millennials for being frivolous spendthrifts?

That does not sound good.

It was the gullible millennials paying $20 for avocado toast part that got this whole thing started, not the actual avocado.

When they're cheap I take one to work for lunch and just eat it out of the skin with a spoon.

Used to always grab the Onion in various spots around Chicago along with the Reader and New City back when print was still a thing.

Read Denis Johnson's Nobody Move over the weekend. It was pointless with a weak ending but engaging enough as a fluff throwaway read. Started House of Leaves, which I've been meaning to read for years. I like the idea and structure so far but the self-enamored hipster tone gets a bit irritating at times.

Walker's has much better flavors than Lays.

eh, whatever, who cares.

What? Savage said something that makes him sound like he's an utter tool in real life? I am shocked, I tell you.

All it ever did for me was massively magnify my anxiety and depression. No thanks.

Yeah, I was still a regular SNL watcher back them and I saw that episode live when it happened. Way cool that a mainstream pop singer/celebrity would actually have the balls to do something that controversial with no concern for the well-being of her “brand”.

No, it definitely strikes me as a cultural shift, started by baby boomers. They seemed to have started this whole delayed adulthood, prolonged childhood, "aren't we just so special and so enlightened" mentality among young people.

David Keith's laugh is much better.

They certainly started the tradition of being self-absorbed, self-important navel-gazers, that's for sure.

I'm very surprised millennials aren't embracing golf as it's got everything they love - pricey brand names, conspicuous consumption, materialism, the opportunity to engage in irony.

I blame them for being deeply annoying.

It's so true. As a Gen Xer I hate both millennials and boomers equally.

Seems each generation gets progressively more childish and privileged and self-satisfied. So millennials are worse than Gen X, and Gen X is worse than boomers, and whoever comes after millenials will be even worse than them.
