I do love the recessed lights with light covers on a classic car. Frustrating thing is every one of those cars was ruined for the US market thanks to our stupid headlight laws.

The Jaguar E-Type, Series 1 headlights are one of my favorite parts of an already brilliantly designed car. Just absolutely seamlessly integrated into the design.

Fun fact: this engine was the basis for the Aston Martin V12 developed under Ford ownership, and that engine is two of these Duratecs stuck together and sharing a common crankshaft (with other changes too obviously).

Your C point was always my biggest issue as a dealer. I’m in my mid 30s and CONSTANTLY fought with my dad about what needed to happen to have a more modern, consumer friendly store, and it’s a constant fight for other incoming dealers that have an “old school car guy” that they’re taking over the business from.

This is also apparently more of a US problem than anything, in EU it is common to just order what you want and wait rather than look at what a dealer has on the lot.

I was making a joke referencing everything that needs to be paired to a phone or require a subscription nowadays.

The 10 year/100k warranty is a huge point here because of the standard it sets. I don’t think anyone could make a reasonable argument that you should be able to buy a 10-year-old ICE car with 100k+ at a huge discount off MSRP and expect it to be functionally identical to a brand new one.
