Bahaha! "Gina loves kittens." So silly.
Did it. LOVE it. I used my data cable to export all my cell phone contact info into a csv file, then I made it look purty, then I saved it as an HTML file. Then bookmarked it. It's DIVINE! GREAT tip. :D
I'm having a little trouble figuring out how to edit tags. It's not all that "smart" at first. For example, when I said "Call Charlotte" on one line and "Make deposit" on the next, it decided that I had a "peep" named "Charlotte Make". Hmmm... It's actually quite handy. I have a stack of little real-life stickies…
What's life without a good hack?
I have too many del.icio.us bookmarks to deal with for a regular browser - a few years worth. That's where I keep EVERYTHING. The more commonly used ones stay in the browser.
Glad I read the comments before I started my morning habit of wasting lots of time installing things I don't need in liu of studying for my psych licensure exam! :P
I'm using it with the classic Firefox theme, and it's working fine. You have to set the colors before it starts working. I set my new tabs to be bright spring green, and as they get old, they fade to a dark rust color, like fall leaves. Fun!
I'm using Firefox, and I get no results. It just reloads with a second (empty) field.
I decided to use link checker to check all my del.icio.us bookmarks for dead links, one page at a time. Del.icio.us sure didn't like it. After one page of 100, I was blocked from del.icio.us temporarily for accessing the site too quickly.
Once I've done all of this, do I need to keep Orca on my machine, or can I uninstall?
Love it, love it, love it. BTW, that Firefox mass downloader thing has been discontinued.a
I've been using that Greasemonkey script for a while, and I LOVE it. BTW, great choice of song to demonstrate the technology! :D
Yeah, another shout out for claimid.com. I like it, and it's very 2.0ey!
Gift. Yes indeed. It will make a great gift. Good plan! You've sold me!
Since I check Lifehacker 50 times a day and have for a few years, I wonder if there will be anything left in the book I haven't seen!
Not that I know of. Still, it's a groovy interface, no?
I really like Pictobrowser, which can be used with Flickr sets. Here's an example on my blog. If you click on info, you can set one up for yourself using preexisting Flickr sets. I'm not affiliated with them at all. I just saw it on a friend's page and thought it was cool looking.
I haven't lost them all, just their correct ordering in my browser, which I find really irritating.
I should have just waited!! However, I have tried this "fix" multiple times and ways, and so far, no luck at all. Maybe I'll get friendly with Flock.
