As a standalone movie, no. As an homage to the games that I spent hundreds of quarters and countless after school hours playing at 7-11, hell yeah. It lacked a lot in story, acting and uh physics, but it was super fun to watch.

I consider myself reasonably smart and was actually paying attention to the show while watching it, and I still missed half the details you pointed out in the review. There was just so much going on. That said, I still enjoyed it all and look forward to the rest of the season.

This is adorable and totally doable on a weekday. Bookmarking forever.

I enjoy Eddie Huang’s other work, so I had high hopes when this project was announced. I’ll probably still watch it to support the community, but definitely had to reset my expectations after watching the trailer. Oooof.

Shout out to whoever made that fullscreen gameboard photo happen in this post. I’ve don’t usually notice these types of (UX?, UI?, web design-y?) things, but that was the best execution of that feature that I’ve ever come across.

I’ve definitely ended relationships/friendships because the other person was a picky eater. Not in a mean way or anything. I really enjoy trying out new foods and experimenting.
