Have these ever noticeably worked for anyone? For me they were just unbelievably painful, and I have a genuinely high pain tolerance. I hope others have had success with them but I just found them to be a waste of money and an exercise in self-inflicted torture.

It seems a bit disappointing that we’ve often fantasized about humanoid combat mecha, which are ridiculously impractical and have no real world use case, and instead we’re going to end up with squid drones. I’m not saying that’s not cool, but still...giant robots would’ve been cooler.

There’s also a chance these drones could use a type of bioconverter to “digest” organic mass for energy. The ocean is a potentially rich and tasty soup for robots! And with proper buoyancy, it takes a lot less energy to swim than to walk.

Calamari actually isn’t that easy to mess up. The trick is you need to either cook it very little or a lot. Your typical half-inch ring of calamari, cooked in liquid, will be great in two to three minutes or over eight minutes. It’s those middle five you have to avoid unless you like chewing tires.

I know every bit hurts, but drones aren’t trash at least. No one’s looking to just abandon them in the ocean. And all the military, scientific, or commercial drones that would be deployed in the next fifty years probably won’t add up to 1/100th of a day of consumer trash worldwide that ends up in the ocean.

I was just thinking: are military planes just destined to become uglier over time, at least until we develop plasma stealth or radar becomes obsolete?

True, but that’s the pre-production quoted price which will almost certainly balloon; the eventual procurement cost of the B-2, for example, was around 25% higher than originally projected. Including development, facilities, and spare parts manufacture as well as procurement and the B-2 cost well over $2 billion per

Nonsense. You think other countries didn’t care about women’s gymnastics, figure skating, and tennis prior to 20 years ago? There are many more examples, too many to enumerate.

He disinvited the champion Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia Eagles, too.

I share this unpopular opinion. It’s a beautiful film and stylish as fuck (I owned it on laserdisc back in the day) but the plot is not good. Far too often melodrama is used as a substitute for actual depth or even coherence.

The only time I could say for sure they were within fifty feet of each other was at the funeral from Infinity War and there are around forty people in that scene and he’s about the 37th most famous.

Using them for low end missions, such as chasing pirates armed with AK-47s, is a weird and expensive flex. Although less capable than the Burkes, they will free destroyers up for potentially more dangerous missions, such as confronting the Russian and Chinese navies

What’s great about this Enterprise-style deflector dish is that you can also reconfigure it to emit a dispersed polaron array which is great when dealing with theta radiation. Good on the U.S. Navy for finally taking advantage of this type of design.

Why didn’t they have at least a British color guy on the Fox/ESPN broadcasts? Such a missed opportunity.

Are we truly this old? Truly?

Wait, but don’t people also say that the last minute of an NBA game is often the only really interesting part? Maybe basketball was a mistake.

Andujar is a trade chip as well as it now seems as if the Yankees really don’t need him, especially with his defensive deficiencies.

I’m a pretentious Spurs fan with my head so far up my ass that I can breathe out of my mouth.

Also for locals in any city: you may think you’re awesome at walking on a busy sidewalk or in a metro hub while also looking at your phone. I’m sorry, but you’re 100% wrong. You walk like a fucking idiot.
