For PowerPC, Free Range Mac has their APE-free TransparentDock utility.

You may not care for translucent window chrome, but many other people do and disabling it is incredibly easy, so what exactly makes it a bad idea?Because I extremely doubt that I'll be able to disable the too-transparent menu bar in OS X 10.5.
