A few problems with this analogy. First of all no one wanted the cake RIGHT NOW. They wanted maybe just a bit of frosting. Secondly, they’re passing the cookies off to a group of people who paid to be at this shit party fully expecting a bit of frosting.

This is why Amazon Go is the future and I look forward to it.

And I agree with all that. However if the legacy servers fail to gain any traction and become ghost towns in a few months. They can’t exactly go “SEE WE TOLD YOU!!” The legacy servers were just a thing that a small sect of people wanted to play because it was a free trip down memory lane.

If next year’s actual April Fools isn’t an announcement for World of Warcraft 2 and have it be a mobile game, I will be extremely angry.

Not really. The classic private servers were free and Blizz didn’t have to do anything to maintain them. Now they wanted to shoulder all the work themselves but probably charge people as well (as in their right to do so.). It’s completely different really.

God I love Barrens chat. I wish the chat log for every Barrens chat from every realm, from 2004-2010 from every server were released in series of , tome-like books written on papyrus.

A lot of things that made modern WoW faster, less grindy, less waiting and all their other life improving features is what ironically killed WoW for me. There was less adventure and just ‘QUICK GET TO MAX LEVEL FAST AND GRIND MYTHICS!!!” Everything else was just a passing thing to be glanced out but not really

My problem with WoW now is that the sense of exploration isn’t really there anymore or at least it’s not for me. I can’t say for the new expansion since I don’t have it but usually when an expansion does hit, it rarely “wows” me (Legion was great). Playing now just seems like a mad dash to max level and then run

I really wish they’d remake Warcraft 1 and 2 though.

Although I’m intrigued by this due to my extreme fondness for the nostalgic moments that I have of classic WoW, I can’t help but feel like this whole legacy server thing is just a gimmick for some folks. I mean sure it’ll be nice but just how long are people going to stick around once they hit the progression ceiling?

There’s so many good games for the PS1, it’s impossible to satisfy everyone. Perhaps upping it to 50 games would have been better.

I’d hit it.

This list is only worth it if there’s a way to add more games to it (unofficially).

Now playing

This video from a real town planner is quite enjoyable but the grid builder inside me is screaming at all that empty space in between.

I always try to make an eye pleasing city but I 100% of the time end up with typical grid cities and freeway systems that would make baby Jesus weep.

UPDATE: David Blaine has magically appeared and decided to join him.

It might be 4k but the quality is still shitty.

I remember the venison burger. It was okay, I didn’t mind the gaminess but I just remember the sauce being a bit too overpowering.

It’s not that much of a stretch. Peter Thiel is gay and is an extreme Trump supporter.

An asteroid would either kill us all or most of us (depending on size and impact zone). Climate change won’t kill us all or at least not as fast. Humans can adapt and even if we don’t the planet will still continue on without us. In essence, climate change isn’t an apocalyptic scenario, it’s just going to be more of a
