Holy crap. As an American that's been to EuroDisney, I laughed so hard I almost pooped myself.

About 10.5

I think the Hybrid transmissions (prius, volt, etc) are genius. I'm not supposed to get excited about greeny crap, but the design is true brilliance.

I bought a brand new sonic with $0 down in Dec-2011. It had a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, and I got a 48 month loan at 1%. It has exceeded every expectation I've had, and 3 years in I don't regret it one bit. I also bought it from a dealer that specializes in volume sales, and paid $16k after taxes, fees, etc

Out of curiosity, like what? That was my favorite part of the Bimmer's I've owned. Especially the double jointed 2004+ ones.

Neat, until you realize that the electric solenoid to control the awd system is extremely prone to failure, and costs $900.

I flew Aeroflot into Warsaw 3 months after the communist government collapsed to help a sister church rebuild. Other new and exciting aviation firsts for me included:

I would love to be able to buy a STi that looks like a stock impreza. I want the fun and toys, and none of the looks. One of these days I'll do it, and swap body parts and wheels with some kid who wants to look like he's got a STi.

Not to mention spending $1000 on a set of rear tires every 2 months. :)

Yeah, well, as the owner of a Sonic (which i love btw), I want to see the Cruze's 2.5L diesel in a Sonic, with the Encore's AWD system and sound cancellation. Same platforms, I'm waiting. :)

Just go to any pharmacy and buy a couple of condom-catheters and pee-bags. Best roadtrip items EVAR. No pain, no mess, and you never stop to pee.

Um, that's a 3.8l, and it only weighs 380 lbs dressed. The trans is heavier, and it's in line with the axle.

As a long-time resident of E. Bumble, WA, I can assure you you're safe here. We all look sketchy, and sketchy is the norm around here. It's one of my favorite things about living here.

I've owned a Sonic hatch for 3 years, bought it for $15, zero regrets. I have plenty of room, and am 6'4".

I drove a Mk7 TDI golf and while it was really nice, it was $25k to get one with bluetooth. WAY too steep. Even the TSI's were in the 22-23 range with options.. I just can't at that price. Not when my current Sonic hatch was 15k out the door in well-optioned trim.

It's Element + FJ Cruiser = baby hustler.

I learned that buying new is totally worth it when buying a discounted economy car, and not so much when buying a mid-range SUV. 3 years in, my Chevy Sonic is kicking ass, super low payments, and I still have 65k left on the powertrain warranty. ZERO regrets dropping $15k after taxes for a manual Hatch LT new.

I'm glad you asked this, I have an S5 and was thinking the same thing.

Now playing

My Mid 80's GM is still kicking strong at 307k.. :) Although the maintenance needs are well above average compared to my DD. Also, I may be a masochist.

I normally don't jump into the fray, but you are misinformed. 20 years ago, you would have a convincing argument that Honda produced cars with a superior quality to the competition, but that is no longer the case, especially when you factor price in. My own 2005 civic had its transmission fail at 49000 miles
