It's definitely obnoxious how studios are more inclined to reboot a franchise than continue it these days it's more than 6 or 7 years old.

Accusing them of being pearl-clutchy wasn't condescending?
When someone offers a their honest feelings that other people's feelings of grief don't make proportional sense to them, that's totally fair for them to do. And it's also fair for others to respond in kind about how much sense the OP's feelings make to them.

I suspect you lack the ability to empathize with people who are suffering, and only feel sad or in pain if it happens to you or someone you know. It may partly be just how your brain is wired.

You mean with honesty?

These days I feel like the only time I'm really inspired by my country is when I see how people step up to assist after a tragedy. It's one of the best things about America.

I think Liam Neeson is the only one who Lucas's direction didn't completely flatten, and he still didn't get to show any actual range.

The scene where they're planning the stock certificate heist has the most amazing dialogue rhythm. You get the plot information, but it's peppered with these weird asides and distractions, people eating, getting sidetracked — 11 different attitudes bouncing off each other in a way that feels improvised but must have

If so, he missed the part where he was supposed to at least be entertaining.

I always liked Ebert's description of it as a jazz riff on a heist movie. It's all the attitude and style set loose from the formula.

Re: the last paragraph, maybe we've reached the point where mild eye-rolling sarcasm isn't quite strong enough for this kind of thing. I wish more articles would end by asserting that the people who do this are mentally unstable and it should not be considered normal behavior no matter how common it's become.

I believe you're conflating two separate characters there, Leonard and Duncan.

Those are sure some sentences he said.

*cut to establishing shot of next scene to make room for audience laughter*

Family Guy mastermind Seth MacFarlane

Probably true, but he still deserves every bit of the shit he's getting for this.

auuuuuuughhhh how do you fuck this up

Ratchet & Clank's game universe could EASILY support a solid film plot by just touching up the writing on what's already there. If this is a dud, they must have barely tried. And that's a shame.

Slight tangent, but one of my least favorite things ever is when liberals/leftists write themselves a license to slur people on race, gender, sexuality, or disability, but it's okay because we're "the good guys." You'll never see someone flip the script and start complaining about "PC culture" faster than when they're

There's an "I know better than you what ideology your shared opinions stem from" attitude that we find surprisingly tolerable coming from our own tribe, even as we can't stand it coming from the other side. There are certain opinions or statements that set off my "oh, you're one of THOSE people" alarm, even as I try

I always felt like The Stanley Parable considered quitting the game in frustration to be a valid choice by the player.
