I recall when the chip makers started this mess by offshoring the less profitable chip fabs, not realizing that they also offshored the training and expertise for mass production at the same time. They thought they could keep the upper end chip market but it turns out making these things is nearly art at the top end.…

I second this sentiment. Nothing they do is new, but that doesn’t mean it’s not enjoyable. If I was a millionaire with a blank check to make car films with my friends, I’d keep doing it too.
