I had only read Frank Herbert’s stories. I don’t like side fiction as much. So in finishing the last 2 books, I was all like WTF. It felt like a video game final boss who wasn’t the final boss. Instead, it’s some uber final boss that was never mentioned ever before and you just have to go w/ it.

These are common fire community props and their techniques nowadays. 15 yrs ago it was probably poi, long staff and double staff. Contact staff wasn’t that big before 2008 and the floating stuff started around 2010.

I have an inflatable one that I keep about half inflated. I have the back part tilted up to support the base of skull and back of head. When the flight gets to altitude, I have to have a little air out.

I’ve been noticing a trend w/ TNF where their jackets are cut an inch or two shorter than some of the other companies. Maybe that’s for layering, but I don’t like that on me.
If I go into a tailor to get insulated jackets fitted, is there anything specific that I need to ask for or suggest? Like any specific type of needle/thread to use on the DWR shell? I’d think that I’d at least ask for them not to screw up any pockets, possible pit zips, or draw string hems.
