I agree, however I can’t help thinking there’s a sizeable segment of society that still considers a domestic violence shooting as less serious than other types of mass violence. 

It’s easier for people to see the person who the violence is perpetrated against as a full victim when it’s violence committed randomly, by a stranger, ‘wrong place, wrong time’, etc.*  When it’s committed by the partner or former partner of a person, it’s easier for people to let the questions come about the victim…

This is a very important take. A domestic abuser killed his ex-partner and also those who tried to respond. This isn’t a cop-killer who also killed “two female staffers.” And to say otherwise is once again dismissing the harm IPV and toxic masculinity has on women and our entire society.
