PCs are not (yet) as idiot proof and user friendly has consoles. On console, you only need to press a button on your controller to power up the console, your TV and launch a game in a few button presses, all from the comfort of your couch. On PC, you need to turn on by pressing power button + TV/monitor > launch

Selective reading? If you re-read my post you'll see that I pointed out that the PS Vita and 3DS are almost irrelevant in Asia, NOT in Japan...

Your charts are for the Japanese market, a market that has been slowly driving itself into irrelevance for the last 10 years...

What are you trying to say about the market? North America is still the biggest market in revenue (about $23 billion in 2013); the European and Asian markets have been growing at a faster pace though, and they'll probably take the 1st and 2nd place as soon as next year. Here in Japan? The traditional video game market

Also, this:

Yeah, I'm not sure I want to spend $50,000 to do what I had in mind:

Sure it's one part of the world, but 1) it's still the biggest market in terms of revenue and 2) you can observe the same phenomenon in Asia (where PS Vita and 3DS are almost irrelevant), Europe and even Japan (sure Monster Hunter is big here, but crappy F2P games are way bigger). Nintendo is indeed selling their own

Just Cause 2 would beg to differ:

Here's a screenshot of an alpha build:

I don't know, when I look at sales figures and revenue on this graph, I don't think "oh gee, Nintendo has a bright future ahead of them."

I was also mentioning Nintendo "discovering" Bluetooth and smartphones, which would allow them to release commercial games legally on the platform with the biggest installed based ever (smartphones) and rack in the cash.

The game looks great, too bad I can't justify buying a Wii U for one game. And with Nintendo's retarded region locking...

The one in the picture is the Ingenu Easymote Bluetooth controller. But nothing prevents Nintendo from releasing their own Bluetooth controller compatible with iOS and Android.

SNES ROMs being unauthorized copies of copyrighted material, do they really need to cite a case?

A $300 laptop could run an emulator and illegal ROMs, not commercial SNES games.

The 3DS also cost about a third of the price so the comparison is not exactly fair but the 3DS screen when compared to modern smarphones, lacks in every aspects: resolution, pixel density, touch screen responsiveness & sensitivity, contrast, black levels, etc...

Yep, that's better for at least a couple of reasons.

Screen size maybe, but the original iPhone from 6 years ago, already had twice the resolution of the 3DS screen.

You should ask Nintendo, not me.
