I'd be happy with a thousand terabytes.

I hope the FFVII remake is released as an iPhone exclusive, if only to see the "true gamers," the "PC master race" and "fandroids" raging through the Interweb for a thousand years.

I don't think that Big Picture allows me to turn the PC on, or log into Windows and launch Steam with only a wireless controller.

Steam machines are meant to be turn-key systems, like a console. Many people want the advantages of a PC without having to go through building one.

Sure, but Nintendo doesn't seem to know where they're going. Dedicated gaming devices are slowly falling into irrelevancy (even the Wii U and the 3DS have a bunch of non-gaming features) and it's difficult to picture where will Nintendo be a few years from now.

This is bigger:

And for Walking Dead, you need to Google for "Walking Dead TV." You know, just in case you were looking to know when the next issue of the comics airs.

Really? Because the 3DS's sales skyrocketed after its pricedrop.

After 130 weeks on the market, the DS sold 43 million units, while the 3DS sold 33 million units.

The 3DS dropped to 300,000 units/month for just a couple of months and has since averaged at 1 million units/month. You can't really compare it to the Wii U which has been flat-lining at 100,000 since after launch.Turning around the Wii U at this point would be nothing short of a miracle.

There's a world of difference between panicking and being blind. The Wii U is dead in the water with no sign of recovery in sight (the release of Zelda HD, NSMB, Pikmin 3, 2 Monster Hunter in Japan, and a few other anticipated titles had no effect on sales). The handheld gaming market is slowly shrinking and moving on

Nintendo makes hardware to sell their software.

Google? Internet?

they're the only ones to actually make a profit in their gaming division

The 3DS is not making a loss but this is not preventing Nintendo, as a company, to be operating at a loss for the second year in a row. And although I'm not really worried about the 3DS right now, Nintendo and people who love their games really need to think really hard about the next few years.

So the US is a planet now? I was quoting global sales. 33 million units for the 3DS versus 44 million units for the DS, 30 months after launch.

Sure but the DS didn't have much competition back then, and Nintendo was literally printing money with the Wii. The Wii U is bleeding money and the 3DS is facing increasing competition from Android and iOS. Nintendo started by ignoring smartphones. Now they're ridiculing them. I think you know what happens next.

On what planet? After 2 years and a half, the 3DS has sold 33 million units. In the same amount of time, the DS had already reached 44 million units.

I am not so sure about that. Last gen, Nintendo had their most successful handheld AND home console ever. This gen, the Wii U is their worst performing home console ever and the 3DS is not doing anywhere as well as the DS; on top of that the 3DS will need to compete against smartphones that are more ubiquitous,

That's Korea but the guy is definitely listening to a Japanese language learning CD.
