iPhone account for almost 20% of the entire Japanese mobile phone market, "dumbphones" included, but most mobile games are still being developed for lower spec phones.

Most of the people who write for Japanese video games nowadays are not professional writers. So obviously they don't know about "show, don't tell" and -even better- "play, don't show." They are exceptions (most Nintendo games follow the "play don't show" rule) but most mainstream Japanese games are full of walls of…
Clearly, it depends on the country you are. Can't use the US Google Play in Japan and the other way round. I've also tried from Europe, and no dice.
Well maybe someone should make a counter argument by presenting the problems and hypocrisy of western developers and their games.
Everyone's free to use their money however they want, sure you can do what a smartphone does on your PC, but your PC doesn't fit in your pocket and doesn't boot instantly.
That, and the fact that the vast majority of people who buy Android phones buy the lower end models (in other words, not the flagship Samsung or HTC handsets): these consumers use their phones as "dumbphones" (they don't install apps or use any of the more advanced features of a smartphone), either because they don't…
Much lower ROI (Return on investment) on Android: it costs more to develop and test on Android (thanks in part to platform fragmentation) and, the average user spend is magnitude lower than on iOS.
Dude, I don't think you understand what "geo blocked" means. In iTunes, you only need to have an account for that country and you can buy whatever you want. If iTunes was geo blocked (like, for example, the Xbox Marketplace or Google Play) you would also need to be physically in the country when you make your purchase.
FAQ should be read as "eff ay queue." If you don't, I don't know what to tell you. Unless you read CIA as "shi-uh" and then, I really don't know what to tell you.
Nope. I've bought a lot of content / app from the US (and other countries) iTunes Store and I can guarantee it was not geo locked.
While this may explain the piracy on Android, it doesn't explain it on iOS.
Nintendo already shut down a fan-made pokemon MMO, a fan-made Zelda movie, and EVO Super Smash tournaments. That's just off the top of my head so don't quote me on that.
You should try to get a look at Serenity: The Shepherd's Tale. The art in this one is pretty good.
Pro tip: this also works with teenagers and adults.
Game Dev Tycoon was "inspired" by Game Dev Story.
Great if it's a $10-20 game. Forget it if it's yet another F2P crapola.
Content creators should bring up their issue with Google. Most users don't want to watch non-skippable in-stream ads that sometimes are longer than the video itself and are displayed every couple of minutes. I don't block ads on site I visit often, but I make an exception for YouTube and its obnoxious ads.
Breaking Bad would like to have a word with you.
Have you looked at his Twitter timeline? I have and he sounds like an angry 10 year old tossing out insults and poorly thought out rants (with the occasional racist comment). He should probably put down Twitter for a while.
I really admire your ability to read so much into so little.
