I don’t know if it was a thing before a run of one of the animated shows but I’m pretty sure Markovia is meant to a war torn authoritarian regime somewhere in the Baltic region...it isn’t clear to what extent there are other powered people elsewhere in the world the show sets itself in but since in the cartoons (iirc)…

without laying claim to any particular knowledge of his record in post I think, on balance, that putting someone in a position of responsibility over matters of Land Management who apparently not only doesn’t believe we need to manage that land with a view to mitigating the effects of climate change but actively…
