you would think that they’d be able to avail themselves of at least some of the many options available to them that still don’t require the use of actual moderators...

I’ve been curious about that account...but if you’ve made your call I’m not in a position to argue it...

I originally left this as a reply to Longshot but they seem to have dismissed it (https://splinternews.com/1836937024) & others have answered that comment in more visible fashion...

I’d expect “the point of naming the place that sold the firearm” to be readily apparent...& in fact to be composed of several overlapping & interconnected points each of which is arguably worth making in their own right...including (but not limited to) hoping that such a connection would not advantage the business in

I think the phrase I’m looking for is “don’t get me started” but yup, it surely is...

I don’t think you sound like a moron but, if you’ll permit the observation, your confusion is the core of the “feature” of Baracka’s approach to these threads that most bugs me...

smart kid, that...but then, in the words of Bill Hicks all kids are smarter than us & it’s easy to see why when you think about it...

wow...Baracka is really losing their touch these days...

he literally said “It’s not Mitch McConnell who’s the problem”...

it could be that I’m wrong (& I don’t think it necessarily makes the domestic part any less accurate either way) but I was under the impression that the random element in the stochastic model was more by way of being which individual hits the tipping point out of all the ones that read the newsletter & drink their kool

wasn’t trying to put words in your mouth...just making an observation that struck me on reading your original comment...I’ve heard a lot of arguments about what was & wasn’t laudable about the man...& indeed about what still is/isn’t...but personally I’ve never particularly considered divorcing the “good president”

you say toe-mae-toe, I say toe-mae-toe...

even by the standards of splinter comments that is a truly exceptional piece of solipsistic garbage logic you’ve frankensteined together there...

I don’t think I’ve considered it in quite this light before but reading your comment it occurred to me that I think perhaps there’s a distinction to be drawn...in terms of his legacy compared to his rhetoric it’s hard not to view Obama as flawed...

thank you kindly...& likewise, I’m sure...

speaking from experience, if you’re upsetting the baby with the Kirk fetish in the grays...you pretty much get to assume you’re on the side of the angels...

it might have been a little retro for his taste...

a cresting wave is impressive sounding...when I was younger I remember there being a place that specialized in imported beer which had constructed a whole manga/gundam robot thing out of empty Japanese beer cans...

I’d second the “eloquent” sentiment but at the same time offer the observation that the weapon analogy is perhaps too active to capture one of the more insidious aspects of the problem when it comes to changing things...for a great many it’s not a thing they need take active recourse to because it’s so thoroughly

the statement is a tell but he could at least try to argue that “least” could mean “not at all” despite it being obvious bullshit...
