Looking at it, his entire concept is based on two pillars; one, the need for artificially generated 1g-equivalent gravity and two, that it look like the Enterprise.

Heh.... when I was ten, I got grounded for months because i'd taken one of encyclopaedia britannica's and on the maps of the world, drawn out my plan for global domination.
i found it highly enjoyable but it is a very hollywood take on the Three Musketeers.
