the genre isnt dead, just sadly 'relegated' to a bunch of good/excellent but poorly funded devs that bring out damn good attempts that are let down purely because of the lack of polish/quality that serious funding from a bigger publisher would bring.

Cyclops is frackin' awesome but, imo, is the only truly 'mutated' design in the pic. his design is a pretty well thought out concept.
