Possibly - I don’t know how the Lexus dash is set up. I was looking at the CEL as a general “something’s wrong” kind of alert and the traction control off light as a slightly more specific “something’s wrong in this general area” notification. If this car has an ABS-specific warning light then I’m probably off-base.

I don’t have an OBD I scanner at home

Yep, the 3800s were really rather good even through the series I had only 170hp. (I had a Regal with that engine.)

Uh huh. And how many have you owned? I’ve had three V-6 Saturns and will call BS on your BS.

It’s rather concerning that you went directly from “battery” to “spouse”.

Those are good points. I’m inclined to agree with the DB5 and the Batmobile, but less so about the Ferrari. The Bond and Batman cars were integral parts of the material and stories; the Ferrari was a supporting character IMO.

The iconic 1968 Ford Mustang from Bullitt is easily one of the top three greatest cars in the automotive history of Hollywood

The one-wheel wonder!

The paint is a re-spray

That’s good advice. People say “there is always tomorrow”, but... there isn’t. At some point - and we don’t know when - every one of us will run out of tomorrows.

Old doesn’t necessarily mean rare or collectible, so prices can often be quite reasonable. Sometimes people will give away vehicles just to be rid of the damn things and/or to reclaim some space.

Annnd I just saw your response. D’oh.

You’re right!

That’s acute.

That looks great! I love the dog-dish hubcaps.

Yep, there aren’t a lot of A-bodies running around these days. It’s a shame.

You can get that functionality now, if you like. There are solar-powered vent fans that you clamp in the car’s windows; it looks like they extract air from near the headliner, which makes sense. Amazon has a few models for about $25 each.
