Liquid gasoline isn’t nearly reactive enough. It needs to phase shift to vapor (ideally) or be sprayed as a fine mist, and then mixed with oxygen in order to create the big boom. There simply isn’t enough room in the chamber of a gun (naval or otherwise) for that to work.
