Everybody loves and supports firefighters. It’s one of the only jobs in existence where being a hero is part of the job description.

I will be reviewing the legality of leaving that question blank, and will likely not answer it either. 

I don’t have faith in America anymore either. But I am white, and the basis of my loss of faith is bound to be different from yours. To me it all comes down to greed, money and power, combined with knowledge of the Constitution and the limits it imposes.

Unfortunately it plays to her audience. Her pissing people off for saying incendiary shit is what they tune in for. That is, when Ann Coulter’s routine starts getting a little worn.

The lesson is obvious. Stand for something, even if it’s something awful, and you win.

She’s not threatening. That’s the point. She’s perceived as weak because she is a minority, by a bunch of pathetic cowards who like to “punch down” on the weak and (seemingly) helpless.

They’re protecting the money. Period. Because the Clinton consultants who are somehow still advising them, are telling them that’s what they have to do.

This is about money and power, not left vs right. The Democratic “establishment” is worried about where their money is going to come from, after Bernie exposes and humiliates all their current sources of funding. Not to mention the legacy of Bill Clinton, who put the current corporate patronage system in place after…

I’m pleased to see that the finale for The Shield was included here. That series basically chronicled the slow unraveling of Vic’s world from the shock ending of the very first episode, and it was glorious to watch throughout. The finale was one raw gut-punch after another. Just perfect.
