The point about 3G is half fair... sure it should have been possible on 3G, but at the same time, WiFi is almost always faster and you'd want to show off your new tech on the fastest platform.

@Techno-Atom: That's good to know - the GMA950 does far better in Windows than OS X (I am not dual booting anymore, as my HDD ran out of space). I play DA on my self-built desktop anyway.

@The5thElephant: True anough and it does look amazing at even modest settings. The only frame rate that matters though, is the minimum, because quite honestly if it drops to 15fps or 12 fps it becomes unplayable. Crysis is a beast!

You read the same thing I did then - well you could be right, but either way if Apple follows its previous model for releases, this year will be a minor upgrade, next year will be a major (i.e. chip set) upgrade - I don't think they'd encourage huge hardware…

@Cash907Censored: Absolutely - I've owned cards from both companies (and lil' ol 3Dfx) but AMD's pricing/performance and last 2 generations have been excellent. My gaming desktop is the Phenom II x4 BE which isn't quite an i7, but close enough for the cash and HD4890 CFs. Where is Fermi, eh?

iPhone OS 4.0 will be an interesting release, not least because the iPhone now has some decent competition. Tegra2 is due to be in the iPhone (and Blackberry) in 2011, so this year's hardware upgrade may be modest, but really it's about the OS.
