Yeah, I just hope it’s as good.

I love Soul Reaver and Raziel but I want Kain, I want the whole story back. It’s unrealistic but it is one of my favorite game series of all time. Something about Kain always spoke to me more than Raziel but they’re both excellent. 

I’d really rather they just made their large scale multiplayer good and work well, go back to roles entirely and get rid of specialists, and just focus entirely on what makes Battlefield unique.

Go back to Legacy of Kain!

I’d say that both companies are actually being more friendly on this front than they would have been a decade ago, Sony with Bungie and Destiny and MS with Call of Duty.

Hey man, it’s been a real long time now since the original post. Reading about Fahey passing away and following the link to this, I remember you and how sad you seemed and how much I felt like you felt.

I always think it’s odd when people defend one company for exclusives and then vilify another for doing the same thing.

It’s not, that games is just fine and dandy.

They hate diversity so much they make the main character trans sounds about right. 

I recognize the place I work isn’t perfect but they treat me well, I respect my boss, and my promotion came with a 30% raise so I don’t feel like they are nickel and diming me when it comes to compensation either.

Soulframe is supposedly a slower paced game too, with more of an emphasis on dodging and blocking from what little I’ve been able to read. So maybe that is what they meant around emphasis on melee combat.

I don’t see how we do either and it’s insanely depressing.

It has really interesting potential. I hope they don’t squander it. The whole thing should very much be about sneaking around and scavenging, not out and out gunning down everything if they want it to be cool.

RoboCop was entirely about what is happening now. Corporations owned the police. RoboCop and the subsequent creations were attempts to make fully controllable forces of police with no morals to use against the populace. The crime waves were corporate drive to derive more control.
