I respecced into another weapon and at the same level it did more damage than comet did prior to the nerf so I just don’t get how it’s fine for the Ruin Greatsword but then for Sword of Night and Flame it was unacceptable.

Hmm, I’m in the 30s for Faith but maybe I didn’t do enough with it to get a good feel for how much damage the flame hit was doing. Perhaps a quick before work test was not sufficient. Thanks!

I really didn’t think Sword of Night and Flame was all that crazy honestly. Not compared to a lot of other builds/weapons I have seen. The wind up was pretty big for the Flame attack, so it was avoidable and bosses could definitely punish it. The Comet ability or whatever it’s called had good range and wound up a bit…

Agreed, it’s been a hell of a challenge so far and I think I’m going to use Rebirth and just changed everything that I am doing. Sword of Night and Fire, in this scrubs opinion, wasn’t really that much more powerful than anything else that I have seen being used. I’m not entirely sure why it was targeted to be fixed…

Sword of Night and Flame damage is massively lower than before. It’s a really cool weapon and didn’t seem disproportionately crazy compared to many other weapons but it is what it is. I’ll have to mess with it a bit and if it’s just not great at all move onto a different faith scaling weapon.

Pete, from his own interviews, has said this kind of stuff actually heavily affects him. 

This Mars with it’s temporal weirdness is also so damned cool. Being able to shift or move between Golden Age Mars and current Mars would be really awesome.
