It’s about the same convenience wise, the big difference being you can keep using the same controller and not have to have more controllers than you need or have a cable laying across the living room. 

Yeah, I could plug it into my computer or whatever when I’m not using it but usually it dies in the middle of my using it. My wife plays games as well so we’d need 3-4 controllers just for 2 people to consistently be able to play.

The last thing I’d want to do is plug my controller in and have a wire going across my living room. My xbox is like 10 or 12 feet away from my couch, it doesn’t make for an ideal experience. Yeah, it has that going for it too. I have a bunch of rechargeable batteries for remotes and whatever other crap is lying around that needs them.

I’m glad that they do. I much prefer swapping some rechargeable batteries than having to dock and charge a controller.

That hasn’t been the case for a while, they have done a much better job with Destiny 2 especially as of late and the story is so fucking interesting and deep. You do have to go out of your way a bit to get all of it but a lot more of it is played out in missions now too.
