Having once worked for Toyota, I would completely believe that shedding employees with no unemployment claims was a factor in the move.
After visiting South Korea I wonder where you could even enjoy a C7? I've never seen so many speed cameras (and I've lived in Europe and DC), just about every highway is a toll road, and there are speed bumps EVERYWHERE. Tertiary roads in Seoul and secondary roads in even large cities have them. It's crazy.
