YES YES YES! God I am soooo ready to return to Elden Ring.

Jesus, I can’t believe I have to have this discussion again. The book Starship Troopers was far from “fascist.” If that’s the only takeaway someone has from the book, they were ignoring all the important parts: to wit, service is voluntary. Conscription is slavery and no just society or sound military body can endure…
I’ve bought the game twice- once on PC and again on PS5 to enable easier couch co-op with my fiancé. The love and effort they put into this game is amazing. They’ve also made roughly a billion dollars in sales.
Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment are both very good games and people should play them if they haven’t had the opportunity to before. Can’t say anything about Sea of Thieves or Grounded since they’re not really my thing.
The fuck you smoking? Hi-Fi Rush was a game of the year contender last year. it's a solid game. pentiment as well.
Well will see I guess. The game is out in less than 24hrs. Meanwhile sit on this...
Yeah the takeaway from this is NOT that single player games are in trouble. There were lots of other potential reasons (aside from quality) why this failed:
You wouldn’t know it’s not a bajillion dollar AAA titles in the moment to moment gameplay. The attention to fine detail, from weapons ejection unique shell casings with their own physics and collision to the bugs and bots limping and moving differently when you destroy various limbs is bonkers.
This exactly. Look at the success of Baldurs Gate 3. Singleplayer seems like it is in a good place now.
I mean, I think the game didn’t do to well because it looked boring as hell and EA didn’t go that hard with promoting it.
Aren’t single player games thriving right now? The issue may be more major publishers caring more about shareholders than gamers
I did heard about it, but not much. I swear I though it was just a indie game or other side project with EA, not a big project. Where the hell did the marketing money go?
I don’t know about most folks, but very few of the games I play address ideas even related to gender identity or sexuality, because they just don’t matter for what the point of the game is.
So what you’re saying is that context is key, and absent context, you’re just spitting numbers out that have no meaning?
“we found that games with LGBTQ characters or storylines account for less than 2% of all games”
“Quick we don’t have enough to do and the players are getting bored!”
Hard disagree on the graphics mode. The image is softer but the lack of a motion blur slider makes the 30fps very hard to look at. FFXVI greatly benefited when they added a slider to dial back the intensity of it so it might be a viable option here if they do the same.
During combat, FF7 Rebirth is even more intricate and requiring of responsive lag-free controls, so I recommend keeping gameplay to performance mode at 60fps.
On Steam I can see what percentage of people acquired an achievement, and it can give me insight into how other people played the game. I’m especially interested in when people drop out of the main campaign.
