Feels whoever wrote that paragraph is trying to be a sensationalist blogger at their worst.

Came to comments for the same question.  Author seems to have a bone to pick with the guy.  Comparing the last 3 paragraphs to the actual video is jarring.

So what I am guessing is that they couldn’t make fat peter work on the character rig without engine changes and thats expensive to do so they would either have to rig up a new character rig that could potentially have a different hitbox/physics or make something that works within that character rig instead.

I’m a big dummy and got the desire to replay elden ring during xmas. Cleared most everything and had a blast. But not a week later, the expansion hype comes out, and I’m realizing I may have to do it yet again.

I very much prefer waiting until it’s ready. Pressuring the devs to work faster happens too much in this industry as is. 

Who is “everybody”? I’ve yet to see or hear ANY hands on when it comes to this game.

Nobody’s under the illusion this package is mandatory, so pointing out that you don’t have to buy it is a straw man. The problem is that it exists at all, that CIG are even selling digital items at this price point in the first place.

Perhaps the most ridiculous part isn’t the prices, but that after all this money and all this time, they still haven’t lived up to their original promises. Something that was supposed to happen in 2015.
