Because developers so far have been focusing only on graphic, like Ryse for example, which in terms of gameplay is step few generations back. A lot of stuff which made DS so great were directly tie which use previous gens power.

I doubt that single player will be good, maybe Visceral is talented but I bet creating BF campaign will be very "controlled" process.

And whole Visceral Games's team has been wasted because of this singleplayer mode, which most people won't even play. Good job EA.
