Maybe G is just the colloquial term used in casual conversation, and DDDD the official terminology used by law enforcement and such. :-)

DD, DDD and DDDD are official alternative designations for E, F and G in the US. After that it continues with H, though. Had to look this up, though. :-)

According to the Wikipedia entry on bra size, DDDD is actually an alternative designation for G in the US (FF in the UK). After that, though, it continues with H, no more Ds.
