Wow, creepy, whatever game I decide to get back into, Katie Tiedrich makes a comic about it the very same week. And a good one, too. Happened several times now. :-)

I personally don't care what the next pics of booth babes are because I'm not excited about booth babes anymore. Their selling point is too hard to grasp and it cheapens your intellectual property. We're building a PC society right now and I love that.

That is a very terrible argument. STFU or GTFO arguments always are. The world is not that simple and it makes no sense to just leave/quit/kill yourself, whenever just one element of a situation isn't to your liking. "Speaking with your ability not to go to the convention", as you put it, is not actually speaking at

I'm with you on all counts.

Well, I always pronounced it Youbesoft, in which case 'a' would be correct. Do you pronounce it Ewbisoft? Or French, Übisoft? :-)

Careful, in case you need the Xbox version, Red Box is only gonna have the first disc on rent, which includes only the first half the single player mode (and all of the multiplayer mode).

Gametrailers gave it a 7.6, with online pretty much protecting it from even worse. As expected, they get lots of flak for that score, but seems they are just being honest.

Winner.

I cannot believe that in the US, you get a paper paycheck by mail. That procedure is just asking for trouble. Here in Germany, you get your salary transfered to your banking account.

Thank you so much for this! Woke up last night with a terrible stomach ache and for some reason remembered this post. Half an hour later I could go back to sleep.

This game definitely was no turd. The only negative things about it are the short campaign and the little replay value. But for anything from €10 downwards, this is a must-buy for third person action fans. Here's hoping for a third installment!

I think The Dark Knight is a terrible mess of a movie, and the only big question it leaves me with is why other people seem to love it so much. Same thing with Inception; apparently, the more abstract the issue, the deeper people seem to deem it; but that's an illusion.

Alan Wake for me is a game that I wanted to like but found myself I honestly couldn't, at least not all the way. I can understand that people liked it, and it did have lots of elements that I enjoyed as well. The scene on that rock stage at the farm is one of the best third person shootouts in gaming history.

So what does "hanging out with the old guy and the kid" have to do with (any kind of) sexuality? Is he trying to imply something here, or is he just... dumb?

What??? They took out the fog in the SH remakes? That...that's just... I don't know what to say to that. Did they hire George Lucas as production advisor?

I think it is a misleading metaphor to say that the the Discovery is HAL's body, or that any kind of hardware is the body of a program residing in it. Just like I think it's a misleading metaphor to talk about hardware/software when referring to humans. While you can distinguish conceptually between body and mind, I

Without a biological body, there not only is no gender, no sexuality, and no emotion, there is no subjectivity of any kind. So this "research", like the source material, is nothing but science fiction. I like science fiction. :-)

I vaguely remember a section in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy where the protagonists needed some information. They travel to this hermetically sealed off court building where some guy had been administered a truth drug a long time ago. Problem was that he started telling THE TRUTH, not about his case, but in

Unfortunately something not every POTUS can rightfully claim.
