I can’t concretely explain those possibilities or justify why they can’t exist without blockchain, but I will use words like “new economy” and “unprecedented sea change in digital ownership” and talk about “finally giving artists their fair share” in ways…

The only narrative possible is “Thing X Very Bad/Thing X Very Good” It’s very sad. There’s a lot to be discussed about NFTs and the blockchain, and the fact that this nation’s press mostly consists of low-effort blogs like this, most people are completely missing out and trapped in only the culture war aspect of it. 

This whole thing is a reprise of all those pie-in-the-sky dreams of cryptocurrency freeing the average Joe from the tyranny of centralized banking forever. Then you realize all it's done is make a handful of tech bros, Russian hackers, and Chinese energy plant owners extremely wealthy.

Here for the cryptobros getting pissy about how “we all don’t understand NFTs and how they’re going to bring us world peace”, or some such. 

Especially when the business turns a profit selling products that are nothing but overpriced bullshit.  Take that money and the 5% now or else you’re getting the Zonk down the road.

If it was $50K, maybe getting into business might be worth more. There is no way in the world that $50M + 5% stake is not a take it immediately deal. Taking such a deal does not mean you can’t still collaborate. In fact, if he’s giving this guy this much credit for that idea, he would no doubt have little trouble…
