But today's race cars are still easier to drive. Air con, modern tire technology, aerodynamics, electronic aids, etc. In the 1950's at Le Mans, two driver teams contested the 24 hours; true endurance. Now the teams use 4 drivers. In 1952 Pierre Levegh drove 23 hours before retiring. That's endurance racing.

I disagree. When I had my e36 M3 girls loved it and thought it was the shit....Even more so with the newer M3's.
