There is really full of crackpot theories in ASOIAF that I don’t really care for (Tyrion Targaryen or all of the ‘This person is really X’) but I particularly hate Clegan Bowl.
In the show anything can happen, who care at this point. But for the book, I think it entirely miss the point of Sandor character arc.

Would be so much easier for me to carry this conversation in french ;)
But yes, this tension is kind of fascinating. It isn’t a problem, just something that you see sometime when you talk with another black person and you realize that your vocabulary doesn’t carry the same weight or implication.
And I understand what

I’m not questionning the fact that it is or it is not cultural appropriation, but if it can be authentic. I feel it’s two diffrents things.

For the cultural appropriation of African culture by black people, someone already post a list a lot of great articles on this somewhere in the thread. I find this one (http://veril

Oh, I understood that, no problem. I only wanted to nuance the idea that the movie can be authentic.
And, of course,I acknowledge that my view on the question is subjective and contextually different from someone from the USA.

I agree with every thing that you said, except, this:

English isn’t my first language, so I’m not always precise enough when I try to write.

It irks me too, at the beginning.
But, with time my view of the character has changed. I don’t really see her like the only one who isn’t a scientist. She’s the only one who is not into «hard science» and is more into social science, humanities and history.
She references a lot of books, note that she prefers

A part of me understand the need for outrage a these kinds of news, but another part find that this is such bullshit.
We have a criminal justice system that believe in rehabilitation and change. We have to help people becoming part of our community again after they commit a crime.
If we are not willing to do that, what

Thank you so much for your patience and clarity. You do not have an obligation to educate other people, I know it can be a huge drain on energy and moral.

Just finished Kindred by Octavia Butler, it was really good, and the actress was fantastic.
You said that you did not really like science fiction, but it’s a really ligth one, more in the historical fiction category, but it’s a time travelling book (like Outlander)

Now playing

The other thing that is getting on my nerves is the association with Trump. As is we need that clown to create racism in this country.
These two guys tell it better than me:

I’m from Montréal and some of the reactions to this tragedy really infuriate me.
There is some neo-nazi shit on Facebook and people comment without fear about the killer «only killing 6 of them» about the fact that we need gun, and other nonsense.
This is to be expect.
But the worse is politicians and political

I was thinking about Nymeria and the Rhoynar, mainly because I want to see Sothoryos.
But something about the direwolf would be great too!

My dream spinoff?

Also, I’m pretty sure that it’s a tweet about Tunisian politic. So your exemple about how fake news had impact on the canadian election, is about a parody of a garbage newspaper, that is use to make a joke about tunisian politician.

This is funny because your exemple is a very bad one. Le Journaldemourreal is a parody, like The Onion and take is name from Le Journal de Montréal who is a trash paper.

I’m not saying that.
If you want to be Storm, do it, she’s awsome!
I’m only pointing that there is a bigger issue with the Kardashian about their appropriation of black and African-american culture. There is a diffrence between appreciation and appropriation, and they are often dancing on the line in the middle.

*Sorry

It feels thirsty in the context where the Kardashian have been, again and again, called out about their cultural appropriation

Hum, dancing, in and of itself is a sport, even without the judge... If you swim alone in a pool without a chrono you are doing sport.
Your definition, for me, really is reductive.
