@the_unsocialite: The Eaton Centre is the high cathedral of downtown Toronto shopping.
@SavetoFavorites: Sad for Lindsay?
@raincoaster: I've worked in huge cancer centres, east and west; I'm just not a big believer in: "There's a cure on the west coast; the east coast doctors don't know about it yet." There are all kinds of reasons why something isn't "allowed" to be offered yet, including: There are no good studies to prove its efficacy…
@cyberathena: Ack, this was meant for you: "1 out of 4 patients die." That means 3 out of 4 patients live. :))) How long, is (essentially) a crapshoot of genes and circumstance. It's like when people say "That ALMOST NEVER happens!" Which means that sometimes it happens.
@PaintedTrollop: Yes. I'm in Canada, the idea of being denied effective cancer treatment because I can't afford it is literally foreign to me.

@LatestBy: Esophageal ("throat") cancer doesn't usually spread to brain tissue; it's got to do with the kind of tumour it is.
@raincoaster: Yes, TNM staging is a combination of tumour grade plus local, regional or distant spread. I'm even wondering if they might have offered him surgery as a "cure" already, but he turned it down. It's massively disfiguring. If it's spread, surgery would be more or less useless for a cure.
@nipslip: Nah. Being diagnosed even a few months ago, he'd still have the same prognosis.
@raincoaster: Yeah, it's bad, that's why the person in the audience gasped, Dave!
@H_is_for_Heretic: She smiles like a shark.
The sun is waking up after 10 years!
"he's also apparently written a 'romantic, psychological thriller' titled The One and Only" . . . which someone has "promised" will get produced by her contacts in Hollywood.
?? There's 100 million families in America, Joe?!
"Betcha" and "letcha" ... aagghhh, my ears are bleeding already.
@Archetype: Sorry, ^^ that was for you.
We don't have Target in Canada. :)
