yah I didn't couch my reply very intelligently. I was walking across campus trying to have some zone out time on my phone and hit the publish button without thinking it through as much as I should have.

I totally agree with you.

My issue was with the couching, rather than the discussion. Like I said in other replies, I don't think anyone struggling with the body changes due to pregnancy (which in my case included depression, postpartum depression, extreme pelvic pain, and gestational diabetes) really benefits from information presented in

nope, never said that. see my replies to rach-hell & MizzScientist.

See my reply to see you in rach-hell.

Look, there's a difference between having an honest, informative & productive discussion about the very real health impacts of pregnancy and what the couching of this article does: fear mongering.

So very tired of the sensationalist "pregnancy is yucky and fucks up your immaculate pristine perfectly functioning at all times body" bullshit. Grow up.

uh-huh.

AWW, CUTE, AFRICA THEME!

Jeez, some people are just way too serious.

amiright, amiright??

#solidarityisforwhitewomen

Agree. But actually the original post was pretty spot-on. It's the commenters who like to be silencing and reductionist.

But that's ok, Violet Baudelaire & others, because really #solidarityisforwhitewomen so you're all good!

When #solidarityisforwhitewomen we can ignore race, and a history of colonialism that

classic BS-er.

Et tu, Jezebel?

Seriously, it is so sad that this was a post when Jezebel has next to no coverage of women's sports (and writing about women athletes DOES NOT COUNT).

Get a sports writer or assign a sports beat for women's sports!

EXACTLY. Not a Deen defender at all (and sorry, I don't take her seriously at all not only due to overuse of buttah but also the whole diabetes drug debacle), but at least flagging the super-questionable source seems like it would be (a) not much more work, and (b) good form.

Ok, I'm no Paula Deen defender, but you did notice that the radar online article was pulled from the National Enquirer, right?

First of all, thanks for serving our country. Not least because your service (and the service of others) gives other citizens like this girl the freedom to build an inclusive society.
